I would like to introduce myself as a business man with auto enthusiastic habits. I have been observing the evolution of auto industry and it's service related issues over the past 25 years and felt the need to write an educated review to create an awareness among the car owners of this new generation. I recently visted "Auto Wheels" which is the BRIDGESTONE SELECT SHOWROOM in the city to get new tyres for my Toyota Etios VXD and my brother's Honda city. I got eight new Bridgestone tyres of STURDO and TURANZA models respectively which were manufactured in the year 2026 and highly satisfied with the Wheel balancing and Alignment services. After paying the bill ,I was requested by the staff to submit a Google review. Just before submitting my review, I casually opened the reviews of other customers and struck with an unpleasant feeling that the true significance of Balancing and Alignment is not yet recognised by the car buyers of this new generation. I am a regular customer to this outlet ever since it was opened in the year 2009.My friends too visit this place for new tyres and Alignment. I went to many Alignment centers in Hyderabad and spoke to those business owners but none of them have matched the experience, skill and passion of Mr.Praveen who is the head of this showroom. The technicians who work here are highly experienced and capable of solving complex service issues. They were all well trained by Mr.Praveen. To create an awareness among the car users, I would like to explain the key importance of Wheel Balancing and Alignment . WHEEL BALANCING :- This is like a simple balance Physics experiment at our school lab. A wheel balancing machine equalizes the weight distribution of the tyre and Alloy wheel assembly. The technicians attach small metal sticker weights to either side of the rim to get it perfectly balanced. This wheel balancing ensures the wheel rotates smoothly without bouncing or wobbling. If you ignore the wheel balancing job of your car, you feel the vibrations in your steering column, dashboard and flooboard. Highway driving is very unpleasant without proper Wheel balancing .Tyre rotation and Balancing interval :- Every 9000-10000 Kilometres. WHEEL ALIGNMENT :- Alignment is the process of adjusting your car's key suspension angles like camber, caster and toe using a specialised computer machine to deliver longer tyre life, smoother ride, better steering response and improved control. Alignment keeps your vehicle straight in line by safely eliminating the side pull or drift. The reduced rolling resistance achieved through better alignment enhances the fuel economy as well. Alignment service interval :- Every 5000 Kilometres. I would also like to utilise this review to clear the air around FREE Wheel balancing & Alignment offers which are generally offered along with the purchase of 4 new tyres. Tubeless tyre VALVES and METAL sticker weights are not free for tyre dealers. How can you expect Alignment centres to offer them for free ? Free service is a simple joke. No wheel balancing, No serious check up, they do quick Alignment without a printed report and deliver the vehicle .That's it. This free alignment without test ride is as dangerous as a car with ZERO STARS IN NCAP CRASH TEST. Another fact which has to be considered while buying new tyres is not to compare the market price with online prices. Online tyres were definitely of Old stock with hardened rubber and old manufacturing date stamps. Online tyres are without the 3 years all India unconditional warranty policy which the Bridgestone offers through it's authorised network. My straight question is "Who is there online to manually scan your new tyre's batch number and upload the same in the company web portal for warranty registration" ?? The hard reality is NO TYRE maker in India is giving WARRANTY to ONLINE BUYERS. Why should we buy a ZERO WARRANTY 2023 manufactured old model tyre in 2026 ?? Simple reality is tyre RUBBER gets HARD with the passage of time. Do think once before buying tyres Online. Thank you ..
